The Oberlin Film Society (OFS) will screen Modern Times (1936), a largely silent comedy directed by and starring Charlie Chaplin. The film satirizes factory labor, industrialization, and modern life through Chaplin’s iconic Tramp character. Both hilarious and deeply human, it stands among the greatest comedies in film history.
